Christmas Decors at Mana Davao

December 28th, 2008

Christmas in Davao has been made more unique because of the Christmas decors displayed in Mana Davao at Mana Compound, J.P. Laurel Avenue, Davao City (near Kar Asia Bajada) which draws people to visit the place at night when the Christmas lights are turned on because of their beautiful and very attractive colorful Christmas display which has a different theme each year. The lights are turned on every night when it gets dark until midnight as the guard told us.

Davaoenos just like us (who really set out a date that we must not miss visiting Mana Davao especially this year that we live closer to it unlike before) actually look forward to Mana Davao’s Christmas decors display every year during Christmas. Many people go there at night and sometimes it causes a little traffic as cars, taxis, and other vehicles stop by or slow down to take a look at this wonderful view at night. It has somehow become a mini park if I may call it as families with kids, group of friends, office mates, photo enthusiasts go there and take souvenir pictures. If you happen to be in Davao this holiday season then check out this place and do not forget t bring your camera for those sought after souvenir photos of course.

I like the feeling sitting with my son in this little red Christmas house as I call it. Wish we have one like this right at home. My nephews would really enjoy and love it!

And I wish we also have Christmas trees as decorated and as big as this! :)

And for those who wanna make a wish on a star, it is just within your reach at Mana Davao. But there is a sign there that says “off limits” which means do not touch the display, only take home as much souvenir photos as you can but do not bring home any souvenir decors nor do any damage with the wondrous display.

Davao City’s Giant Christmas Tree

November 27th, 2008

Merry Christmas!!!

The giant lighted Christmas tree outside Victoria Plaza in Davao City has already been lighted attracting more people there every night. Some if not most of the people you see there are taking photos of the giant Christmas trees with their cellphones, digital cameras and DSLRs. But most won’t leave the place without of course having a souvenir photo of themselves having the Christmas tree as their background. This is the tallest and biggest Christmas tree in Davao City. Little Dabawenya

August 25th, 2008

The 2008 Kadayawan festival was great for us being able to shoot during the Indak-indak sa Kadalanan (Street Dancing Competition) last Saturday, August 23, 2008. Here is a photo of a little Dabawenya smiling at us as their group was performing.

Lone Tree at the Turtle Sanctuary

Lone tree at the Turtle Sanctuary Punta Dumalag Davao City

Sky Watch

This is the famous lone tree at the Turtle Sanctuary in Punta Dumalag Davao City and the shot was taken also during the FPS sunrise shoot there. You must try to shoot from there and it would be a great experience especially of you do get a good showing from Mr. Sun shining out for the day.

FPS sunrise shoot at the Turtle Sanctuary Punta Dumalag Davao City

This is another shot during the Fanatic Photographers Society (FPS) sunrise shoot at the Turtle Sanctuary in Punta Dumalag, Davao City. This is kinda noisy but I still love the colors of the sky.
